Tweaker Traits-

I was asked on Quora to define what characteristics meth users tend to show.

The following is my answer....

1.) Talking very fast/ Talking to themselves

Example- Your lucky to get a word in with a serious Tweaker, they will cut you off as soon as you try to speak, so usually they end up talking to themselves

2.) Tweakers tend to become obsessive over non important things and/or projects.

Example- Taking a cell phone or radio apart and put it back together (if your lucky its not yours and they fix it before deciding to move on to the next project if it is).

3.) Repetitive motions

Example- Mouth movements (looks like they are chewing on something), jaw clenching and teeth grinding, neck jerking, biting and licking lips, odd full body movements (refer to Michael Jackson's Thriller video).

4.) Prowling

Example- Going through items that do not belong to them, but claim “Hey! I had one just like this!!” (Yes Bubba, they make them every day! It's mine, put it down!)

5.) Paranoia

Example- The FBI is outside!! The phone is bugged, people have been following them and everyone in the room are police informants!!

6.) Odd collections and a love of electronic parts

Example- having tons of phone chargers, flashlights, headlamps (usually these have all been taken apart). Collections of markers, sharpies and coloring books. All of these items are usually stored in a back pack.

*These are a few of the characteristics of meth users….

This response does NOT put all meth addicts into one category or am I implying that all meth addicts behave in the same manor. This is just what I have seen myself!
